| Description: | We will leave from our dock at Eagle Landing State Park in Haddam and cruise south. You will see the Goodspeed Opera House, the East Haddam Swing Bridge and the Goodspeed Airport. On the way south, we will point out where a local eagle's nest is and on your journey, you will have a chance to view a very beautiful section of the pristine lower Connecticut River. During the cruise your Captain and crew will narrate about local history, point out areas of interest and inform you of the river’s flora and fauna. We may even see our resident Bald Eagles! You will experience an area that has been labeled by The Nature Conservancy as "One of the Last Great Places" and also get a great view of Gillette Castle State Park, Connecticut's greatest tourist attraction and the Chester/Hadlyme Ferry, the second oldest operating ferry in the United States. This cruise is a 90 minutes. $20pp adults, $15 kids. |
